This education session provides a basic awareness of substance use and abuse issues. It is intended to increase the foundational knowledge and skill base associated with understanding the process of addiction, the continuum of harms associated with substance use and other behavioral adaptions such as gambling. Paula will discuss the effect of alcohol and other drugs on an individual as well as explores some critical issues related to substance use and behavioral/ process addictions. Topics include:

This session will be taking place in person, at 77 Charter Avenue (entrance on East Drive), in the NL Housing and Homelessness Network’s Provincial Learning Centre. Our location is on a bus route (route 2), and there is free parking across the street from the entrance – please note that the backlot parking is for tenants of the building only.
