Learning Centre – Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my own projector, laptop, etc.?
The Provincial Learning Centre has all the equipment needed for your event. It is suggested that you bring any materials (I.e. – PowerPoint Presentations, Videos, etc.) on a thumb drive and our staff will assist you in uploading your materials to our PC that is connected to our screen and SmartBoard.
I’m hosting an event with blended (in-person and virtual) attendees. Will you be creating the Zoom Meeting and provide me with a link?
It is suggested that you schedule your own Zoom Meeting on your own account to send to your attendees. Once you arrive at the Centre our staff can assist you in signing into Zoom on our PC and starting your meeting.
Does the Provincial Learning Centre offer Wi-Fi?
Yes, we are happy to offer complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the Provincial Learning Centre.
Is the Provincial Learning Centre an accessible space?
The Provincial Learning Centre, Network Café, and NLHHN Offices are accessible spaces. Our entrances have automatic door-openers installed and there are no steps inside or outside of our facilities. Our washrooms are wide and spacious with accessible stalls including grab bars.
Are whiteboards and/or flip charts available?
Yes, we are happy to offer whiteboards and/or flip charts at no charge. Please let us know when booking.
Can the Network Café provide lunch?
Yes, our social enterprise, The Network Café is a full-service restaurant and is able to provide catering to guests of the Provincial Learning Centre. We offer everything from hearty breakfast buffet’s, fun and easy sandwhich trays, to light refreshments. Click here to view our Catering Menu.
Can we bring our own food?
Outside food is not permitted. Catering can be provided by The Network Café.
What is your cancellation policy?
The Network must be notified in writing of cancellations to rentals at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations with at least 48 hours advance notice will not be subject to cancellation fees. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be invoiced the room rental fee.
